Remembrance Day of the Holocaust of the Greek Jewry was inaugurated on February 21, 2008 at the Consulate General of Greece in New York with introduction by Consul General of New York, Hon. Aghi Balta, welcoming remark by Rabbi Martin Cohen, remark by Consul General of Cyprus in New York, Hon. Andreas Panayiotou, closing remarks by Primate of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America, His Eminence Archbishop Demetrios followed by screening of a documentary by Tony Lykouressis, “ The Song of Life – To Tragoudi tis Zois”, the Odyssey of the Jewish Commnity on the island of Zakynthos (Aznte) from the mid 15th century to the present day.

Yom Hashoa Memorial Service in Forest Hills, New York

The Sephardic Jewish Center, The Sephardic Brotherhood of America and the American Friends of the Jewish Museum of Greece solemnized the commemoration of the Yom Hashoa Memorial Service
at the Sephardic Jewish Center of Forest Hills with speech from the guest speaker Dr. Michael Matsas, an author and Holocaust survivor. The video titled ”Message of Life - Survivors Remember”,
Testimonies on the Holocaust from the Jewish Museum of Greece was screened after the commemoration.

"The Hidden Children in Occupied Greece", a traveling exhibit of the Jewish Museum of Greece was on display at Illinois State Building, James R. Thompson Center in Chicago during the month of April.



A traveling Exhibit of the Jewish Museum of Greece, "Hidden Children in Occupied Greece", was on display at the Hellenic Museum and Cultural Center in Chicago Greek town from January 30th to February 25th, 2007.

"Hidden Children in Occupied Greece", a traveling Exhibit of the Jewish Museum of Greece was inaugurated by the Minister of Tourism Development of Greece, Mrs. Fanny Palli-Petralia at the Embassy of Greece in Washington, D.C. on December 11, 2006 and was on display until January 18, 2007.
